Bouquet in the Window Embroidery Kit by Nicki Franklin
The still life composition of flowers in a window is a classic one that Nicki wanted to try with some stitching. This pattern incorporates several stitches to maintain your interest as you work, and a delicate light Autumnal color palette.
The Stitching is set off with a little fabric painting but of course you can choose to leave it bare. Plain fabric is included to enable the addition of curtains with a simple applique stitch but feel free to use whatever fabric you have.
The kit includes antique hand-printed linen, instructions and all threads required to complete the project.
The design is approx 12cm x 9cm (on a piece of linen 10" sq)
Ideal as gifts or for yourself, The Stitchery embroidery kits are designed with beginners in mind, as well advanced stitchers.
The aim is not to produce a perfect piece of needlework but to encourage the stitcher to slow down and enjoy a little old-fashioned calmness and serenity in a world that is becoming increasingly fast-paced and perhaps a little stressful at times.
